Such effects have contributed to flooding, soil erosion, deforestation and biodiversity loss. Therefore, countering climate change ... has been one of our key development objectives", said Prime Minister of Ethiopia, Abiy Ahmed. This year, Ethiopia plans to go ahead with planting 5 billion trees to fight climate change and offset these issues.
