I have danced for MTV, Diana Ross, Marc Jacobs and have appeared in many music videos. You can find more information about me and my career, as well as photos and videos, at www.dgtnyc.com. I'm going to be talking to you about ballet.Sissonne, is a scissor switch of your legs. So you want to start with your feet in the 5th position and we're going to practice on the bar because it helps support your body and you can get a high lift in the air. So starting in fifth position you are going to Plie on two legs, and you're going to jump landing on one leg and straightening both of them together. So again, fifth position, you're going to Plie, jump high in the air, and land on one foot. It's important that you think of it just like a Changement, which goes straight up in the air. So you want to think of the movement going straight up rather than side to side. So again I'm going to demonstrate.
