How To make a LACE BRAID for BEGINNERS ✿ DIY Step by Step tutorial ✿

Here's the tutorial on how to do this basic and very popular lace braid! :* This braid is very versatile and you can incorporate it into many different hairstyles together with french braids, dutch braids, twists, rope braids, waterfall braids, buns, ponytails, anything you want! It is super quick and easy and takes under 5 minutes. Once you get comfortable with the technique you can literally do it in only 20 seconds. It work on all hair lengths: short, medium or long. I even did it on a boy once, lol!

Step by Step INSTRUCTIONS:
-Start by parting your hair on the side (or the middle)
-Pick up a small section of hair from the front of your face and part it into 3 pieces. We’re gonna have a TOP, a MIDDLE, and a BOTTOM one.
-Start by taking the top, cross it over the middle, then take the bottom and cross it over the middle.
-Now add in a small section of hair from the TOP of your head to the TOP strand and cross it over the middle again.
-You don’t wanna add in ANYTHING to the bottom so just cross that over like before.
-Once again, add in some hair to the top strand and cross it over the middle.
-Then cross the bottom strand over, without adding in anything to it.
-Continue this way, adding in hair to the top strand as you go, until you reach the point where you want your braid to stop.
-Then just continue braiding without adding in ANY HAIR just like with a regular braid.
-When you get to the end secure it with an elastic and that is it!

Tips and Tricks:
-Smooth out the top strands before you add them in to avoid bumps in your lace braid.
-Try braiding on someone else to begin with if you find it hard to do this on yourself! Then you can DIY once you get more comfortable with the braiding technique.
