A few Thanksgivings ago I was so focused on the food that I completely forgot about the table. I didn't have a centerpiece and there are no florists open on Thanksgiving. So what did I do? I turned to my kitchen. You can use crab apples. You maybe have some cranberries leftover from your cranberry sauce. Maybe you have a ton of beans. Just throw these into a glass jar or glass bowl. Throw some candles in there and light it and you've got your centerpiece. Another suggestion is if you have a backyard, maybe you have a holly bush. Grab a few branches. Place them on a beautiful platter. Look around, see what else you have. Throw some crab apples, chestnuts on there. Be creative. You'll be surprised how great it can turn out.
