How to Make Lamb Biryani - Lamb Biryani - Mutton Biryani - Lamb Biryani Like a BOSS
Meat Curry
800 grms Lamb
3 medium Tomatoes
1 large Onions
3 tsp Garlic Ginger paste
Fresh Chilli
3 tsp Curry Powder
Green Cardamom
1 tsp Black Mustard Seeds
5 Cloves
Dried Chili
Bay leaf
Sultanas
A little Vegetable Oil
Salt
In a bowl all all the ingreidents and mix.
Leave for a min 1 hour but overnight is best.
In a dry pot add the seasoned meat mixture and cook for 8 mins
Wash 500 grams of Basmati several times in water and soak for 20 mins.
Add a little water to the lamb and cook until tender, we will go for 20 mins now.
We will also be using fried onion, mint, cilantro and turmeric later so get this ready.
The lamb is now ready set this aside and we can move onto the rice.
Cook the rice 70% of the way, we will once boiling only cook for 5 mins.
So now we have all the parts, the lamb, the rice and the herbs and onions.
With a little lamb in the pot add a thin layer of rice, then a little mint and cilantro. Repeat this process until both lamb and rice are done. Finish with rice at the top.
Mix a little turmeric with water and drizzle on the rice, this will give a nice colour.
You could of course use saffron. Add the fried onions and we are ready for the cooker.
Use a tea towel/cloth to help seal the lid and get it tight.
Add the pot to a low heat/flame and cook for 7 mins.
