Making your own homemade soda is a snap and right now, with little more than strawberries and sugar, you can make your own delicious strawberry soda. Take two pounds of chopped strawberries and add three and one half cups of white sugar. Toss to coat completely and let them sit in a bowl for eight hours or overnight. Then strain your strawberries through a fine mesh sieve and collect the syrup. Add three tablespoons of fresh orange juice and stir. To three quarter cup of your gorgeous red syrup add one and one half cups of cold sparkling water, some ice cubes, maybe a straw and enjoy.
