Video Transcript: Hi, guys. My name is Lola and welcome this collaboration with Consumer Health Digest. If you've clicked on this video, then you're probably wondering whether or not you've actually removed your eye make up correctly.
Did you know that the skin in your under eye area is the most sensitive as well as the most thinnest skin on your whole entire body? This means that if you're removing your eye makeup incorrectly at night time, then you're probably contributing towards your own premature aging, which means you're increasing the chance of getting those fine lines and wrinkles.
If you're interested in learning how to properly remove your eye makeup, then please carry on watching this video and don't forget to give it a really big thumbs up.
Starting with the first step, I like to cleanse my entire eye areas in coconut oil. I find this a makeup remover and oil thumb works the best for me because it's gentle, effective, and it breaks down the makeup quickly. Just a quick tip, but if you like growing individual lashes, then don't use the oil as it will destroy the lashes, meaning that you won't be able to wear them again.
Next, I remove the excess oil or makeup remover by washing the eye are with lukewarm water or by using a wet wipe to pat down the excess before moving on to my next step. Just make sure to keep your eyes close on this one. The next thing I like to do is to remove other traces of eye makeup. I will saturate a cotton pad and makeup remover and hold it against the eyelid for up to one minute to lessen any other makeup. Just remember to dab and press gently rather than wipe away the cotton pad on your delicate skin.
The next thing I like to do is to take a wet wipe and fold it over my finger and gently wipe the lashes in upwards movement which reduces lash fallout. If you feel like you still have a lot of makeup left on your lashes, then go in with the cotton pad and makeup remover again and follow that last step.
After that, I like to take a cotton bud and saturate that makeup remover too to get rid of any last bits on the wash line and on the lash line. After this, I will cleanse my skin as normal and finish up with my favorite under eye cream to keep my skin hydrated and looking fresh. Thank you so much for watching.
