So here's the situation. You open up a can of beans. You use some of the can and then you've got beans left over. What do you do? Please do not leave the can part way open, put a piece of aluminum foil on it, and just stick it in your fridge and forget about it. Instead, rinse them and drain them. You want to get all that gunk from the can off of them. Put them in an air tight container and drizzle them with olive oil, cover them, and put them in your fridge and they'll last for about a week. If you want to store them longer, up to say a few months, freeze them in water. And then when you're ready to eat them just pull them out of the freezer, let them thaw and treat them just like you would fresh out of the can.
