Most people, they go to the grocery store, they buy their coffee, and they're done. They leave it in the bag that it came in. Not a great idea. The enemies of coffee are air, heat, light, and moisture. So the ideal place to keep your beans at home is a ceramic jar like this. The rubber gasket keeps the moisture and air away from your beans. It's heavy ceramic so that no light's going to get through and it keeps it nice and cool.
