You'll hear a lot of methods for storing basil. Basically if you just throw it in a plastic bag and put it in the fridge it wilts, but here's my method and it's actually the best. You cut the bottoms off, just like you would with cut flowers. In a cup of water so they can be doing a little bit of their, you know, natural sucking up water thing. I'm not really positive what the plastic bag does. It's some kind of climate control thing, but it's critical, it doesn't work if you don't use a plastic bag. Boom. That goes in the fridge. Perfect. Perfect for a week. Perfect.
