Here's a good green tip for washing dishes. Most people, when they wash dishes, put soap all over the sponge or all over the dishes and leave the water running the whole time. But to help you conserve water and to conserve soap use a dishpan, like this. Get the water running, suds up the water instead of the dishes and then turn off the water while you're actually washing. Then you can turn on the water. Rinse everything at the same time. So this way you're conserving soap, you're conserving water, and soaking the dishes in the water makes them easier to wash.
