In this video, Mahalo's Windows expert Sean Hewitt covers the basics of using Google's browser Chrome 10.

About Chrome
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Chrome is Google's
Internet browser. To access Chrome, you may double-click on the desktop icon, open it from your task bar or search for it in your program menu.
Upon opening Chrome, you will be directed to your home page. If you'd like to stay on this page and open another page, click on the plus icon at the top of the screen and open a new browser window. In this window, you will see a selection of your most visited pages, as pictured below.

Sorting Your Most Visited Pages
---------------------------------------------------------------------

If you wish to keep a page included on this new page tab, you can pin it by clicking on the icon in the top left corner of the image. If you want to remove a page from the frequently visited page list, you can exclude it by clicking the "X" in the upper right-hand corner.

To Bookmark a Page
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Click the Star in the upper right hand corner then click Done.

More Fun Features of Chrome
---------------------------------------------------------------------

If you type a website name directly into the browser, Chrome will automatically take you there. No need for any "http://" or "www."  You also don't need to type ".com" either. For instance, typing "google" into your Chrome browser will automatically take you to "www.google.com."
Chrome makes it easy to keep your browser up to date. Click on the wrench in the top right corner and head down to About Chrome to find out if you have the latest version or not.If you put in the address of a known fake or scam website, Chrome will notify you that you are attempting to enter a bad address.

To change your homepage, click on the wrench in the upper right-hand corner directly to the right of the star. Click Options and type in the address you would like to set as your home page.
