The 2016 IAEA International Conference on Nuclear Security is underway in Vienna, Austria. The first day closed with the adoption of a Ministerial Declaration aimed at strengthening global nuclear security.
Two thousand participants including around 50 Ministers from more than 130 Member States are represented at the conference, which will run until Friday. The IAEA’s Director General, Yukiya Amano, made a statement
at the opening of the event.
