Find out about the darker side of the plant world with botanist and Head of Science at Oxford's Botanic Garden and Arboretum, Dr Chris Thorogood. Chris’s research at the Garden focusses on the evolution of ‘killers and vampires’ – plants that attract, trap and kill animal prey, and those that rob their nutrients from other plants. Specifically he is interested in the evolution of these unusual life histories, and potential technological applications we may unlock through researching them.
