Russian Beef Stroganoff
Serves: 3–4
Ingredients:
500g beef sirloin, thinly sliced
1 onion, sliced
1 cup mushrooms, sliced
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp flour
½ cup beef broth
½ cup sour cream
1 tsp Dijon mustard
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley (for garnish)
Method:
Sauté onions and mushrooms in butter until soft.
Add beef and cook just until browned.
Sprinkle in flour, then stir in broth and simmer until slightly thickened.
Add sour cream and mustard, and heat gently without boiling.
Serve over mashed potatoes, pasta, or fries. Garnish with parsley.
