Shopping in Tokyo, Japan at UNIQLO in Takashimaya Department Store (高島屋タイムズスクエア)

Come join us as we head out on a rainy in Tokyo, Japan to go shopping at UNIQLO in Takashimaya Department Store (高島屋タイムズスクエア). It had been rainy frequently in Tokyo for quite a while and Audrey was looking to replace her undergarments which mysteriously went missing after leaving our Osaka airbnb apartment. With limited underwear, bathing suits and socks we decided to go to a budget friendly clothing store called UNIQLO.

Audrey was able to find all of the socks, underwear and bathing suits she needed whereas meanwhile I found three shirts that I really liked at cheap prices. Our friend Rob, who joined us for the shopping adventure, also found a rain jacket at a budget friendly price that he was pleased with.

Overall, it was a really successful shopping mission at UNIQLO in Takashimaya Department Store (高島屋タイムズスクエア). Aside from shopping we also really enjoyed the free views we got of Tokyo. It was our first high vantage point of the city and it was quite impressive even on a rainy day.

Originally we thought we were going to eat in the department store but then we decided we'd rather walk over to Shake Shack which will be our next video. Anyways, if you are interested in visiting Takashimaya Department Store here is the necessary information below:

Shopping in Tokyo, Japan at UNIQLO in Takashimaya Department Store (高島屋タイムズスクエア) Travel Video Transcript:

Another rainy day here in Tokyo. But hey this is summer in the city. So today we're going to be visiting Takashimaya Times Square (高島屋タイムズスクエア). We're planning to just go shopping, spend the day indoors. If you followed the vlog of us traveling from Osaka to Tokyo you know that my underwear went missing. I still think it was stolen. We need to replace a lot of things.

My plan of action at this mall is to go up to the 12th floor. This is actually a bit of a luxury mall with a lot of high end brands. But they do have a UniQlo (株式会社ユニクロ) on the 12th floor. Which I would probably compare to like a Japanese version of H & M. It is just kind of budget friendly.

I'm going to be trying on two bathing suits because that was one of the items that disappeared with my packing cube. This is weird I wanted to try on this shirt and because I have makeup on I need to wear this.

I'm really liking some of the shirts I see here at the store. This one has Mount Fuji this is like a traditional bridge. I think I'm going to buy one of these.

I'm so excited. I came here and I realized that I had forgotten a travel jacket somewhere else and it is like pouring rain and kind of miserable.

And how much is that? 2900 Yen. About the same amount of money I spent at an Izakaya last night. But this jacket will remain. This is my new travel jacket.

Well originally it was just going to be you buying stuff here yes but I found two t-shirts I absolutely love. 990 Yen. This one is like 1500 Yen.

We are done shopping. That was a successful mission. We got a pack with three pairs of socks, underwear. I got a bathing suit. I'm not where I used to be. I got three pairs of shirts.

I would say this is actually a pretty affordable store. I really like it. And I like their summer fashions. I don't know if we encounter another UNIQLO (株式会社ユニクロ) I may do a bit more shopping. But for today this is good. I got what I needed.
