CHRISTMAS STAR WARS DOG COOKIES - May the force be with you and your pup. Make these dog friendly Wookie Cookies and watch the dog-star wars begin xxxx
Peanut Butter Cookies
2 Cups flour – white or whole wheat if no allergies
1 tsp baking powder
1 cup rolled oats
1/3 cup smooth peanut butter
1 tblspn honey
½ tspn fish oil/or coconut oil
1 ½ cups water
Directions:
1/ Preheat oven to 350 deg / 180 c
2/ Mix flour and oats together in large mixing bowl. Pour in 1 cup of water and blend till smooth. Add peanut butter, honey and fish oil and mix till all ingredients are well blended.
3/ Slowly add water until mix is thick and doughy.
4/ Lightly flour cooking surface. Roll dough to ¼” thick sheet.
5/ Use cookie cutter to create shapes. Place on baking sheet and bake for approx
a/ 40 mins. (conventional oven0
b/ 3-5 mins ( microwave oven)
6/ Allow to cool.
If dough is too sticky to roll – slowly add more flour onto the dough ball.

Method:
Make cookies and allow to cool
Decorate with
1 cup melted carob buttons with
1 large teaspoon crisco added to melt
fresh blueberries
Nutrition Tips:
Peanut Butter:
Most dogs love peanut butter.
Peanut butter contains oil, protein and essential nutrients which can benefit health.
Peanut butter can also be used to disguise a pill if your dog needs medication.
Honey:
Use good organic honey which has been cold extracted as opposed to heat extracted.
Excellent source of enzymes and B vitamins and boosts energy for mothers, sick dogs, old dogs in diabetic crises etc.
Oats:
Provide high fibre, whole grains, and essential fatty acids. A good source of minerals, high in calcium, iron, zinc, potassium and manganese. Also provide good levels of Vitamins E & B.
Fish Oil:
Contains essential fatty acids, benefits the skin and joints and provides cardio vascular support.
Omega 3 fatty acids in fish oil aids mental development in puppies and improves cognitive function in older dogs. It lowers blood pressure and also provides support for dogs with kidney disease, heart disease and cancer.
Promotes weight loss in overweight dogs.
Coconut Oil - has many health benefits including improving brain health.
