In May, Tesco launched the Launch programme with The Prince's Trust to help provide disadvantaged young people with the training and skills they need to get into the workplace. The programme is part of 'Movement to Work', a voluntary collaboration of UK employers committed to tackling youth unemployment through provision of high quality vocational training and work experience opportunities for young people. So far nearly 250 young people have completed the four week Tesco Launch programme, with three quarters of them securing permanent jobs at the end.
