Inspectors deploy it underground where it squeezes into tunnels that are unsafe for humans, to scan for structural defects and assess what needs repairing. The robot stands at less than a metre tall and can climb stairs and navigate obstacles. It’s fitted with a 360° camera with infrared sensors so it can capture both thermal and visual data.
