United Nations - UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has lauded what he termed as "encouraging steps" that Myanmar has taken in consolidating peace, reconciliation, prosperity, and human rights. Speaking during a joint press conference with Myanmar’s State Counsellor and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, Mr. Ban also highlighted some of the challenges the country faces as it makes this progress.
