A new report by the UN Human Rights Office (OHCHR) calls for urgent action by the Libyan authorities to address violations related to detentions. According to the report, armed groups in Libya, including those affiliated with the State, hold thousands of men, women and children in prolonged arbitrary and unlawful detention, and submit them to torture and other human rights violations and abuses.
