They first told me Bell's Palsy would only last 10 days, now I'm 2 months in. It has actually taken me nearly four years to bounce back from this. This was my breaking point during my recovery. I remember not being able to look at myself when putting this video together. I couldn't stand taking photos. The face I knew was gone. I didn't recognize the person on the other side of the mirror. I'm doing facial exercises to help improve the moment on my right side. I remember I thought I was having a stroke when I first discovered this two months ago. Now the difference between a stroke vs. Bell's Palsy is very different! If you need inspiration for your journey in this I hope I can give it to you!

Bell's palsy may be a reaction to a viral infection. It rarely occurs more than once.
Bell's palsy is characterized by muscle weakness that causes one half of the face to droop.
Bell's palsy usually resolves on its own within six months. Physical therapy can help prevent muscles from permanently contracting.

Recently, I’ve noticed a small come back with Bell’s Palsy. If you’re watching this it’s probably because you’re in search of inspiration and more information about your own journey. Keep fighting, you’re not alone! I’d love to hear your story below. Comment and subscribe for more Bell’s Palsy videos.
