Anthony Maina Ng’ang’a is appealing for medical assistance enable him travel to India for an urgent liver transplant. Antony who is 27 years old is suffering from sclerosing cholangitis (PSC) a condition that is slowly eating away his liver, and which has also resulted to severe itching, chronic fatigue, convulsions, weight loss and jaundice. Doctors say further delays on treatment might lead to kidney failure and heart problem. Unfortunately he has been advised there is no facility in Kenya where the transplant can be done. He is among two other patients who shared their story with Channel 1. Carol Kamau reports.
