Betty's Cream Cheese Sauce for Vegetables -- Thanksgiving

Betty demonstrates how to make Cream Cheese Sauce for Vegetables. This sauce will be used in the next video from Betty's Kitchen.
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon finely chopped red onion
2 tablespoons flour
1 cup milk
3 ounces cream cheese, cut in chunks
salt and pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh parsley
In a small saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Add onion and cook until softened. Add flour, stirring to combine. Cook butter, onion, and flour mixture for just a minute or so over low heat, stirring until thickened and smooth. Add milk, continuing to cook and stir, until sauce is smooth and creamy. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Add cream cheese chunks, cooking and stirring, until cheese is melted. Stir in chopped fresh parsley and remove from heat. Serve immediately over vegetables of your choice. Enjoy! --Betty ♥♥♥
