Betty demonstrates how to make Limonana (Israeli Mint Lemonade). This refreshing drink recipe was sent in by Alex Zaprudsky. It is a typical drink you can find all over the Middle East.
Limonana (Israeli Mint Lemonade)
• 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
• 1/4 cup loosely packed mint
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 1 cup water
• 3 cups ice cubes (if using small ice cubes use slightly less because they pack tighter)
• *1 shot Arak (or liquor of your choice), optional
DIRECTIONS
1 Combine the lemon juice, mint, sugar and water in a blender. Blend at high speed until well mixed.
2 Add the ice and blend until the ice is thoroughly crushed. Pour into glasses and serve immediately.
* If you wish to make spiked limonana, add a shot of Arak (or liquor of your choice) in step 1.
Thanks, Alex! --Betty :)
