About the artist
Chilean violinist and composer Brian Urra blends jazz, soul, Celtic, and contemporary classical improvisation in his music. Currently in his final year at Berklee College of Music, Brian is pursuing a dual degree in jazz composition and performance and is a student at the Berklee Global Jazz Institute and the Berklee Institute of Jazz and Gender Justice. As a composer, he explores strong melodies and grooves coming from his Chilean influences and roots. Some of his musical inspirations include composers like J.S. Bach, songwriters like Violeta Parra and Víctor Jara, and jazz artists like Kris Davis, John Coltrane, Wayne Shorter, and Thelonious Monk.

About Two Track
Two Track is a music video series designed for Berklee’s YouTube and social media channels that features artists in an intimate setting with only one microphone and continuous camera takes. Each recording session will revolve around a single theme (i.e., connection, love, dreams) that can be expressed by the artist either through their track selection or through a short storytelling segment that will be recorded as part of the performance. The videos in this series will premiere at specific dates and times, but if you miss the premiere, each video will be public on the channel in continuity.
