You guys… today we are making one of the most loved desserts of all time — apple pie baked in a brown paper bag! ???????? This is one of those old-school recipes that makes your entire kitchen smell like fall. The brown paper bag trick keeps the pie perfectly tender and creates the most incredible golden, sugary crust without burning. It’s honestly one of the easiest ways to get that bakery-style pie at home, and I’m so excited to walk you through it step by step.

We’ll start by making the crust, just a classic simple recipe thats more soft and buttery than flaky (just personal preference in our family). Then, onto prepping the apples — slicing, seasoning, and mixing them with all the spices and tossing them into the dish with the crust. For the top we do a crumble style with cold butter and sugar (very simple) and just plop it on top of the apples making sure it's covering most of it but not all of it, just like you can see Shaun do in the video.

Then I’ll show you exactly how to assemble the bag, turn the bag sideways and slide the pie in, fold the bag once and give a few staples then fold once more and add a few more. You want it to be sealed but not airtight so that some steam stays in but some can be released as needed. This method seriously never fails...it's perfectly cooked, golden to perfection and not dry at all. I dare you to try it out! Trust me, once you try baking your apple pie this way, you’ll never go back.
