RECIPE:
1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce
1 tbsp dijon mustard
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp minced garlic
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp pepper
DIRECTIONS:
Mix all of the ingredients together in a bowl. Add the drumsticks to an oven safe dish and pour the mixture over the chicken. Turn chicken around to make sure each side is coated in the mixture. Bake at 350F for 45 minutes, turning the drumsticks over once, halfway through the baking process. Once the chicken has finished cooking, place the drumsticks on a serving plate.
For a sweeter sauce (which is optional,) place the liquid into a sauce pan. Bring up to a simmer, and cook until the liquid has thickened up, and reduced in size by about half. Take a baking brush, and brush the sauce all over the drumsticks. Garnish with either green onion or sesame seeds.
