Countries in the Americas: North, Central, South American Countries with Languages, Nationalities

One of the most common errors made by people learning English is that they get the names of countries and nationalities wrong. The countries tend to have old names that are difficult to pronounce, and the nationalities don’t follow any pattern—they may end in “-an,” in “-ian,” in “-sh,” or in some other way. Usually, though, if you hear the right name once or twice, you’ll remember it. And that’s what we’re trying to accomplish in this video.

We have several of these videos for different parts of the world. Today, we’ll look at countries in the Americas—in the Western Hemisphere. We’ll also tell you which language is spoken in each country. Often more than one language is spoken, but we’ll try to mention the most common language (or languages).
