Daniela Gómez performs her original "Simple y Natural" and the traditional Mexican folk song "Las Golondrinas" to celebrate the theme Origins.
Daniela Gómez is a singer-songwriter from Mexico City who has been strongly influenced by music in both English and Spanish. She likes to explore different genres and timbres ranging from acoustic folk to live looping and soundscapes. Her songs speak about her own life, tell other people’s stories, and reflect on the things she cares about. Gómez’s interest in literature, cinema, photography, technology, and traveling shows up in her songs, one way or another. She truly believes that art and music can change the world.
Two Track is a music video series designed for Berklee’s YouTube and social media channels that features artists in an intimate setting with only one microphone and continuous camera takes. Each recording session will revolve around a single theme (i.e., connection, love, dreams) that can be expressed by the artist either through their track selection or through a short storytelling segment that will be recorded as part of the performance. The videos in this series will premiere at specific dates and times, but if you miss the premiere, each video will be public on the channel in continuity.
