In this video I show how to decorate T-shirts with pieces of hot melt glue sticks for glue gun using microwave and an iron. This is the third of seven videos from my DIY Marathon (July 9 – July 15). New video every day – so don't miss the next ones. :)
For the first option of DIY T-shirt decoration you will NOT need a glue gun! Just 1 glue stick for it. I used 7mm diameter glue sticks.
Try to cut pieces as equal as you can :) Place them on the cloth you want to decorate and hold your iron (heated on maximum) above the pieces (distance – 2 cm (from t-shirt to iron), time – about 7 minutes).
Make sure that melted pieces have no air bubbles inside. The glue must get through the fabric. Then let it all cool – and here you go! Very tender and beautiful!
Laundry tips – 30° C, hand wash.
Don't worry – glue drops will not stick off.
For the second option of decorating I chose the dark T-shirt, so the glue drops would look brighter. Cut as many pieces as you need and microwave them on high for 2-3 minutes on baking paper. Let them cool – they will be perfectly shaped! Then paint with nail polish of any color you'd like. Make sure the nail polish you use was not tested on animals!!!
Good luck! And watch my next DIY project with glue gun!
