Don Quijote Tour | Inside Japan's Coolest Discount Store! Travel Video Transcript:
Alright guys so for today's video we are going to be giving you a tour of Don Quijote. This place is an institution here in Japan. It is. It is probably the biggest discount store in the whole country and they have over a hundred and sixty locations across Japan. This place is massive. We are at the Shinjuku location and we were here a couple of days ago and we only covered one floor and it was amazing. Yeah. We were like we need to come back for a proper tour. It is crazy like your head is on a swivel yeah you are looking up, down and I've never been in somewhere that has so much stuff inside of it. A store that has so much stuff inside of it and so many colorful displays as well. Yes. So much random stuff so let's go in so we can show you.
Already the interior of the store is like spilling out onto the street. Yes. They've got like bicycles and entire shelves. I know. With random stuff. And the other side of the store they had a whole section for just Korean items and all kinds of Korean noodles and chips. Korean noodles. Yes.
Here it is like camping gear. Camping gear. Okay so let's grab a basket because I can think of a couple of items we are going to find. Yes, we're actually picking up some Kit Kat, Kit Kats for a Japanese Kit Kat taste test video coming to you soon. Exactly.
Hello Japan. Go Japan!
Yeah so this is the wall that has all of the kitkat flavors you could ever imagine. And the one that we can't find that is cheaper elsewhere is we're going to get this one over here which is the Sake. And we're also looking for the Wasabi flavored one which is right there. Why don't you grab those for us.
I feel like we're probably not going to like either of them but hey we're doing it for research. If I can reach up here. Oh my gosh it is high.
The struggle is real guys. I almost put out my back just there.
Alright chocolate. In the bag. In the bag. Also another thing that I want to get here are face masks. Like sheet masks because those are fun and those are cheap. Yep.
Oh look at these. Different kinds of mochi I believe.
This. What is that? Would be amazing for Sam. It is to pull out your nose hairs. Oh my gosh. Your long ew nose hairs. I don't have nose hairs. What are you talking about? You definitely do. What are you talking about? I'll let you to decide. It is called Gosso but I think it should be called gross-o.
Another really cool section as soon as you walk is the green tea and matcha flavors. Matcha everything. So you've got bon bons. You've got cookies. Chocolate. Other chocolate. Mochi as well. As you go down here you have the famous Pocky sticks. They are like pretzel sticks.
Toilet paper. Pampers. Makeup. Japanese Make up.
Japanese makeup. Show us that. Eyelashes. Show us all. Oh my gosh. Look at the size of these. Eyelash extensions.. Imagine. Eye-mazing. Do you want to get some eye-amazing?
Oh wow, look Audrey they even have watches. I know. Oh my gosh I love Casio. This is an entire Casio section.
It is pretty reasonably priced too. Well I mean it is not cheap. A lot of them are about $100 US dollars but that is what these G-Shock Casio's go for.
I have no idea waht this is. If it is something like ovaltine. Laxative or just a Matcha drink. I have no idea guys. But it looks interesting.
Oh my gosh you found it. Face masks. You found the face masks. But I feel like these are pricey. These are about the equivalent of $3 dollars and I know I've seen them for like $1 US dollar. Can you get them cheaper? We get definitely get them cheaper.
