Boys who grow up without fathers and this includes fathers who are physically present, but emotionally unavailable. Are more likely to have these three traits. One they're more impulsive. Two they're more aggressive. Three they're more likely to have risk-taking behaviors. Research shows that a father's absence in early childhood alters a child's oxytocin system. Meaning they struggle to bond trust people and feel safe in relationships. Throughout life fatherhood involvement is one of the strongest predictors of whether or not a child will drop out of school end up in jail or have issues with substance use. The health of our society and culture depends on present fathers.
