Piper's Repressed Rage:
This video is about the scene where Piper Chapman beats Tiffany 'Pennsatucky' after the Christmas Show at the end of Season One (Orange is the New Black).
It shocked me and made me think about the circumstances that led to the assault. Although Piper is a slight woman, it still got me thinking about how Pennsatucky is childlike in both personality and frame.
Piper loses control of herself and Pennsatucky is the symbolic girl.

During this video I also talk about Ireland's rigid attitudes to mental health during the last century and how many innocent Irish people were involuntarily incarcerated in institutions once known as 'Asylums.'
Pennsatucky's fragility of body and mind brought this home all the more... my knowledge of Ireland's 'mental hospitals' comes from Mary Raftery's stellar research on the documentary 'Behind the Walls' for RTE One.
