So here's an easy and economical way to help keep your kitchen drain clear. It's a tip I learned from a plumber after I had a clog and I used one of the chemical based drain cleaners and it actually caused my pipes to leak. All you need is white vinegar. Every three months you pour half a bottle down the drain, let it sit for fifteen minutes and then flush with hot water, and that should help clear out any sticky stuff that can build up into a clog. It's a lot easier on your pipes and it's a lot easier on the environment.
