TRANSCRIPT
A lot of cake recipes call for lining your pan with parchment paper. You can do it by tracing around the pan with a pen but if you stick it in, it's too big and you have to recut it and it can end up being a real pain. So here's an easier way. First, square your paper by folding one corner over until it reaches the very edge and then you're going to cut off that excess. Continue to fold the triangle in half over itself, keeping the center point the same, until you have a very thin piece of pie. Once you're at this point, you're going to take the tip and place it into the center for the cake pan. About a quarter inch in; cut off the edge. Unfold it. Place it in the cake pan and you have your perfectly fitting parchment round.
