Local health officials say Saint Lucia remains Zika free.
Medical officer of health Dr. Sharon Belmar-George says weekly samples are being sent to the Caribbean public health agency (CARPHA) for testing and so far, all samples have returned negative for the Zika virus.
The medical officer says the good news should bolster efforts to eliminate the Aedes Egypti mosquito, which transmits the virus.
