When Peter Cottontail comes hopping down that bunny trail this year, he is in for quite a surprise. McDonald's has blended up one of his favorite sweet treats, the Cadbury egg into their addictive McFlurry and while it's currently only available in Australia - we whipped one up ourselves and we can only say that it might be one of the best things to happen to Easter this year!
Cadbury Creme Egg McFlurry
Inspired by McDonald's Cadbury Creme Egg McFlurry
For McFlurry:
1/2 cup chocolate chips
4 cups vanilla ice cream
1/4 cup milk
8 Cadbury® Creme Egg Candies
To make McFlurry: Melt chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl in 30 second intervals until pourable. Pour chocolate into a thin layer on a silicon mat and let harden. Once hard, break into shards and set aside.
Place vanilla ice cream and milk in a large mixing bowl, and use an immersion blender to blend until smooth. Chop up 6 Cadbury® cream eggs and add to ice cream. Blend slightly. Fold in chocolate shards and then place in 2 serving glasses.
Take a Cadbury® egg, cut it in half, and place it on top of the ice cream mixture. Serve immediately.
Cook Time: 5 minutes
Serving Size: 2
