APPLE PIE FILLING INGREDIENTS:
Yields about 1 cup, enough for 1, 5" cake
1 tsp of butter
1 medium sized green apple, peeled and sliced
¼ cup of sugar
¼ tsp of ground cinnamon
1/3 cup of water
1 Tbsp of water
1 tsp of cornstarch

DIRECTIONS:
Peel and slice your apples.Heat the butter in a skillet. Stir in the apples, sugar and cinnamon. Heat until the fruit begins to release its juices, about 3-4 minutes. Add ¾ of the water to the pan and bring the mixture to a low simmer. Cook until the apples are just fork tender but not mushy. In a small bowl, combine the remaining tablespoon of water with the cornstarch, and whisk lightly until smooth. Add the cornstarch mixture to the apples and cook 1-2 minutes more, until the mixture has thickened. Let cool and thicken up

THE CRUMB TOPPING:
¼ cup (30g) of AP Flour
1 Tbsp (12g) of Sugar
1 Tbsp of (12g) Brown Sugar
1/8 tsp (.25g) of Cinnamon
Pinch of Salt
2 Tbsp (30g) of butter, melted (start with a tablespoon and add more as needed)

DIRECTIONS:
Mix everything together in a bowl
