If there's ANY chance that a new technique will result in more gains, even if just 1cm of muscle growth... you and I both know that we're going to try it. There's nothing worse than being stuck in a muscle building plateau, but the last thing you need is a distraction that's going to take you off-course.
In fact, I've actually talked about pre-exhaustion training in the past and have incorporated it in some of my workouts. If performed correctly, you can certainly achieve a much greater "pump" during your workout, but is this leading to more muscle growth?
Well, I think there are many factors to consider when determining if a technique like this helps build muscle and I believe, based on my own experience training clients, that there are other benefits that come with pre-exhaustion training it aside from "muscle gain".
