Rylan's Homecoming, Kamri's Eyebrows, and Daxton's Egg Drop | Behind the Braids Ep. 155

This week, you get to follow along as Rylan preps to attend her high school Homecoming Dance, Brooklyn laminates Kamri's eyebrows, Daxton and his church group have an Egg Drop contest, and we all attend the BYU / Baylor Homecoming football game! Rylan asked a boy to her high school homecoming dance several weeks ago, but he canceled with only a few days left as his family apparently had another engagement. She was super bummed about it for a hot minute, but quickly moved on and instead decided to attend with a group of girls who all attended as singles. We had several dresses ordered for Rylan, but they never arrived on time but to backlogged ports and shipping lines in global supply chain, so we found her a dress here locally! Rylan is AWESOME! I think she has to be one of my favorite teenagers so far... she is not only hard working and smart, but BEAUTIFUL! She comes into our room every night just to chit chat for hours on end!

As part of Brooklyn's skin science program, she needs volunteers to practice on. She has learned how to laminate eyebrows recently, and Kamri volunteered to have hers done. How do you think she did?

Daxton is a Deacon in his Church youth group, and he and the other deacons held an egg drop contest. He and Shaun put a ton of thought, our should I say Daxton applied is science brain, to the best way to prevent a raw egg from breaking using only 3-4 items. Paisley accidentally dropped his egg before the camera was on, so we dropped it again. I guess the first drop actually weakened their project, to the egg cracked the second time. But there was a winner, and he made his project in only 15 minutes during the activity!

This week was Baylor's Homecoming Week, and we were all in town for a Hairitage photo shoot, so Shaun bought everyone tickets to the game! We had so much fun, even though BYU lost (Baylor won)! Our family was happy no matter the outcome!
