The TOEFL speaking section is weird. It's weird for a lot of reasons. However, one reason why it's weird is because you get asked random questions about a huge range of topics and, no matter what the question is, you must have a strong opinion about it.
Even more strange, is that you have to speak about your opinion for 45 seconds. That's weird. And difficult.

Instead of thinking of the questions as separate questions, the trick is to think of each TOEFL independent speaking question as a thematic question.
