TOEFL Speaking is Weird (5) - Sound Like You Care

The TOEFL Speaking section is weird. It's weird for a lot of reasons. However, one reason why it's weird is that they will ask you a random opinion question and you have to have an answer. Not only do you have to have an answer, but you have to sound like you care about your answer.

That's weird. And confusing.

When you sound like you are about your opinion, and about what you are saying, you will sound more like a native speaker. Some students rely heavily on a template, which can be helpful. However, it can also make you sound more robotic and less natural.
