An easy and hearty steak and Guinness stew cooked on a Trangia Mini. Takes a little while, but it's super simple, no fancy ingredients, and really easy to cook.
The ingredients for this are:
- Nice cut of beef (150 grams approx)
- 1/2 Onion
- 3 Mushrooms
- Bacon bits
- Powder mash
- Guinness
- Olive Oil
- Butter for onion and mushroom and mash
- Bag of seasoned flour
Recipe:
1. Caramelize coarsely sliced onion in butter and salt. Move to pot.
2. Fry up mushrooms in quarters in butter with some pepper. Move to pot.
3. Fry up bacon bits to release oil in a little pepper. Move to pot.
4. Fry beef coated in seasoned flour in bacon oil (add oil if needed). Move to pot.
5. Mix contents of pot and fill with Guinness. Cover and bring to boil.
6. Reduce heat and simmer with lid off till reduced to a thick gravy.
Top with mash.
