United Nations - The Special Adviser to the UN Special Envoy for Syria, Jan Egeland, has reiterated the need for at least 48 hours' ceasefire to allow aid to be delivered to Syrians in need. Mr. Egeland was speaking to the press following the conclusion, in Geneva on 8 December, of the weekly Humanitarian Taskforce meeting on Syria.
