United Nations - Despite the logistical challenges and political uncertainty following the Colombian plebiscite last October, the country has a host of "solid assets" that can help to advance its peace process, UN envoy for Colombia, Jean Arnault, told the Security Council earlier today. Mr. Arnault was briefing the Council on the work of the UN Mission in Colombia, and the progress made in the implementation of the historic Peace Agreement reached last year. In addition to the resolve of the Colombian leaders and people, Mr. Arnault stressed that unanimous support from international community - including that of the Council - will remain "a very significant success factor" in advancing the Colombian peace deal.
