On her return from a joint UN-African Union mission to South Sudan, Niger and Chad, United Nations Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed briefed the Security Council today. She focused on violence against women and children, as well as the risks of violent extremism. She also called for greater investment in development in all three countries.
