After the United Nations declared June 21st as the first International Yoga Day, India’s Prime Minister called yoga an invaluable gift, a holistic approach to health and well-being. This is very true. Yoga is a complete way of life where every aspect of our existence comes together in harmony, surcharged with deep meaning and purpose. This way of life helps us gain valuable insights into all kinds of personal issues and concerns.
There are no problems that we face in life that cannot be resolved by following the yoga way of life. Stress, lack of self-esteem, heartache, obesity, intoxication, destructive emotions, or even the fear of old age and death. It can all be resolved.
As our understanding of yoga becomes deeper and more perfect, so does our understanding of life itself. Through yoga, one's life becomes increasingly meaningful and we begin to experience inner peace and wisdom. This results in greater harmony in our relationships. As we move forward on the path of yoga, we experience a happiness we have never known before. It is said that by succeeding in yoga, one succeeds in life.
