My mom makes everything about her even if I try to talk to her she somehow brings it back to herself. Watch mom I'm getting a promotion at work. Are you sure you can handle that you? Already work so hard! oh god you're giving me so much stress! I already worry so much about you I swear it's one thing after another.

You're going to give me a heart attack. Okay you're not wrong and somehow she made your promotion a negative thing. She makes almost everything negative she doesn't even realize she does it. She's been in survival mode for so long she thinks it's normal it's got to be so exhausting is.
I usually just stop talking to her or I just yes her so that the conversation can end.

Ah now I see why you're such a people pleaser started as a parent pleaser, but recently I've been healing myself and I decided to break the pattern. How are you doing that? Well I used to take her negativity personally but now I realize it's just an issue with her ability to regulate her emotions she's negative with herself and my dad it's just her default it's not my issue to fix.
