Betty demonstrates how to make Cheesy Rice Crisps. This is a simple appetizer that may be served with or without a dip.
Cheesy Rice Crisps
1 stick of butter, softened
1 cup all-purpose flour
¼ teaspoon to ½ teaspoon salt (I used ½ teaspoon salt, and the crisps were a little salty for my taste.)
½ teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
1 cup finely shredded Cheddar cheese
1 cup Rice Krispies cereal
In a medium-sized bowl, combine butter and flour, using a pastry blender or large spoon. Blend in salt, cayenne pepper, and cheese. Fold in cereal. Roll into small balls and flatten with a fork on a baking pan (greased or ungreased). Bake at 350 degrees (F) for approximately 15 minutes. Remove from oven, cool slightly, and transfer to a nice serving dish. Enjoy! --Betty :)
